He's no Barack Obama, but Allen West gives a pretty good speech. On substance at least he is infinitely preferable to our silver tongued baritone-in-chief: solid on the economy, national defense and cultural values. Much to his credit he's already getting the Sarah Palin treatment from the other side. We'll know he's arrived when, like Sarah, he starts getting it from his own. Noman's fingers are crossed that whatever he's got is infectious and that congressional Republicans catch it.
